The Hervey Bay Mac Users Group (HBMUG)

Mac users helping Mac users. That’s what Apple User Groups are about. Our meetings are a social gathering of people who enjoy using Mac computers. You will find helpful, friendly and knowledgeable Apple Macintosh  enthusiasts — people who enjoy sharing their experience.

The Hervey Bay Mac Users Group (HBMUG) was formed in May 2008. We meet on the  first Thursday of each month at the RSL Pialba and on the first Tuesday of each month at 60 & Better, Dan Dinna House, Torquay (excluding January) See the Meetings page for venue details.

We keep meetings friendly and simple. With our members’ combined knowledge, we can usually quickly solve most user’s problems and queries. We have no formal organisation or committees. Our membership is steadily growing. Many of our members have switched from Windows and have found that a Mac is simpler to use, and leads to a more relaxed experience. We have many female members, so ladies should feel right at home. At our meetings, you will find a very friendly atmosphere, our aim is to make everybody feel  at ease regardless of their experience.  Apple Mac Computers are the fastest growing brand of Personal Computers in the world as more and more people discover their ease of use, stability, reliability, build quality, value for money, and longevity.

Mac Tips and Tricks are presented, and from time to time we have presentations by members or guests on various topics that are of interest to members.

If you currently use an Apple Mac, are thinking of buying one, you are most welcome to join our group. There is no joining or annual fee, so why not come along and chat with other Mac users. Any level of expertise is welcome,  and if you are switching from Windows,  you are especially welcome.
